Easter Decor at The Nest

Easter greetings, dear friends!

Here are some touches of Easter around our home
I thought I'd share before the holiday is past.

Have a truly blessed Easter.

Chicks and bunnies for rebirth.

And an unexpected surprise in our mailbox
from a dear friend from my women's club, Maureen
(whom was our first president of the club and is also a  member of my church)
for my baby grand Vivi.

It was a soft fluuffy little pink sheep that says
the "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" prayer.

I think the bag it came in was just as adorable!

The sheep and lamb as a reminder of the Passover sacrifice.

And never forgetting that Jesus is my Holy Lamb of God
 given to us all to start a New Covenant.

He made all things new,
so that we may live forever through Him.

Most of my pics came out rather "moody."

I think it is because I took them on Good Friday.

That is truly the saddest day of the year;
 full of such grief and mourning.

I just adore real pussy willow branches -
 the touch of rustic springtime organics speaks to me.

There's more,  but this is a good stopping point.

I know many of you have much to do
 in preparation of your Easter celebrations.

I wish you deep heart-felt joy in the
 Good News that He Is Risen!

As always, thank you for your visit!

Easter Tablescape 2017

Thought I'd pop in and share my
 simple little kitchen Easter tablescape for four.

I haven't set the dining table yet-
not sure how many in total are coming Sunday

Mostly likely the number will be 12.

Time will tell.

I have all sorts of things going on with this centerpiece.

Galvanized cake stand? check.
Egg vine wire vine wreath? check.
Eggs in a nest? check.
Groovy wire crown thingamajig? check.

Put it all together and ta daa - a unique centerpiece is born.

I love my spring/summer birdie salt and pepper shaker set.

It's always so much fun to open up a holiday box
 and re-discover all the treasures that is inside it!

I'm wishing you all a very blessed
HOLY WEEK.

Many of you know I sing in my church choir.

We sang this past Sunday, and we practice tomorrow
 with the orchestra-
then sing again at services Holy Thursday, Good Friday
and for Easter Vigil.

It's a veritable vocal Marathon this week!

♫ ♪ ♫ ♪

I do so hope to find the time to share
my Easter house tour with you.

We will see how it works out, do hope I am able.

But if I can't come back on- please have a very Happy Easter!

May your hearts be filled lots of love.

(And maybe a bunny or two.)

As always, thank you for your visit.

SEARCHING FOR 2 HG PILLOWS!

Recently I purchased two
 new wonderful throw pillows for our love seat.

desperatly need two more, and I just can't find them!

I am hoping if whenever one of you may be at a Home Goods store
 you'd take a look for me?

The sooner the better I find them, or they'll be totally all gone.

I am in a real pickle!!!!

They're mushroom/ taupe with a touch of green-grey.

They're stuffed with feathers.

They're $16.99 each.

The sku is 049807.

I really really REALLY need two more.

I love, love, love them; they're so perfect.

I will reward you for your kindness if you happen to find them for me.

Because HG is a discount store they have nothing in place
to specifically locate an item by the sku number in inventory.

They did say they own Marshall's too -
 and sometimes the same throw pillows can be found there.

I really appreciate your eyes out there, my friends.

Thank you so very much.

Because of my broken toe it isn't easy as it was getting around.

As always, your visits mean the world to me.

Sweet Baby in a Pink Hat

Greetings to everyone!

Just popping in to share an adorable pic of the grand
in a sweet pink gingham and white sun hat
 touching grass for the first time.

She just turned 8 months.

She has fattened up beautifully and is the picture of health.

She has two bottom teeth, is crawling and occassionally
 pulling herself up to a standing position.

She giggles and is so happy - and sooooooooo reminds me
 of her sweet and funny momma when she was a baby!

Like the way she sleeps once she learned to roll over.

(Just exactly like her momma when she was this size.)

I just love her cute pink pig pajamas!

Here she is in pink again- 'tho another grainy pic sorry
 - back lighting is awful in pics-
wearing a cute pink bib with bugs on it.

Some of you may remember her nickname is
"Baby Bug."

I snapped this pic fast with my phone the other day
because I caught her in the beginning stages about to make
what we lovingly refer to as "poop face."

i just ABSOLUTELY adore that face!

Her lips disappear and she kinda stares.

Oh my, yes, we do know what that means, don't we?

Let's just say that I don't think potty training
 will be difficult with this one, either.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

We're appreciating your prayers lately with our sad troubles.

 And to top it off: yesterday I think I broke my toe.

Please: keep those wonderful prayers coming, we need them.

XXOOXXOOXXOO

I hope you all are having a wonderful Lenten Season.

I miss you, and hopefully will be back soon.

Until then, enjoy springtime!

God bless!

Michele

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Whether you are Irish or not -
wishing you all a very
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It is a special day to honor the Irish
 and those who WISH they were on March 17th!

I am also appreciating the eldest daughter
 who gave me this teacup many years ago...
I shall cherish it always.

I would also like thank Deborah from the blog
The Beautiful Matter - on my blog this time-
for honoring me with such sweet St. Pat's gifts
 upon her visit a few weeks back.

I love Irish Breakfast tea!
 And the two pairs of socks and wee sequined
leprechaun hat are just adorable!

Thanks also to Marina, Mary Beth and Margaret for the cards!

Click here for a beautiful and safe Ireland video.

Also, there is a Netflix series shot in England called
"Escape to the Country" - it's really great, full of
wonderful historical cottages for sale.

You may enjoy it as much as we are currently.

Been having a very crazy roller-coaster patch of life lately.

In the last 2 weeks we've lost a newborn infant in our family,
had another nephew born without any complications,
discovered we had tax fraud.

(Oh, merciful Lord, please grant me patience!)

And then last night my older brother had a mild stroke.

That's 3 bad things that happened, and it tends to come in threes -
so let's hope and pray it's all behind us now.

Your prayers are appreciated.

I am so sorry if I haven't been around to visit - once things
taper off to be normal - God willing - I will make it up to you
and read, read, read, and comment, comment, comment!

Thanks for your understanding.

And, as always, thank you for your visit.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
~~~May St. Patrick pray for you all today and always~~~
Random Ramblins
Hi, folks!
Happy Weekend to you all!
I am sharing some random ramblins with you today
just to let you know I am alive and I have not forgotten you!
My son-in-law is a world traveller who just recently
 returned from a visit to Peru.
(He really loved Machu Pichu.)
He brought back this cute knitted hat
that he bought off a sweet little old lady who makes them
to give to baby Vivian-the-niece.
  Here she is modeling it, and showing off her first 2 teeth
(and her cute chubby cheeks!)
Five minutes after they put it on her head
 she bit those cute wee pom poms off the ties.
We had some 70 degree weather recently
 that brought the crocus into bloom....and
many buds on the trees start to show......
and I just got SO excited about it
 and brought out some transitional spring decor...
HOWEVER, this IS Ohio and I KNOW I cannot go too crazy
 with the early spring decor because
THIS HAPPENS!
 I took this snap this morning.
HOWEVER, I am not letting that little bit of snow
stop me from dreaming of spring's arrival!
I got the pretty glass tray below in the last teacup exchange
I was in - from a dear lady named Margaret.
Here is my post about it, in case you missed it.
Be sure to check my sidebar for the current teacup exchange -
and I posted something about it on my last post.
I bought tulips this week for myself to pacify my need for springtime!
And yes, for here it's much too soon for pussy willows,
but I brought them out anyway!
I wonder if it will ever be warm enough
 to get out our nests, bunnies, baskets and eggs!!?
(Soon, but not too soon.)
But Lent has begun and it is all just a matter of time, right?
This wee fella from my friend Karen stays out all year.
I had such a busy, whirlwind week!
One of the best things that happened was on Tuesday!
 I met a dear fellow blogging friend;
 Deborah from The Beautiful Matters!
She posted all about our meeting in detail here
I invited my friend Melinda for coffee on Thursday (she hates tea,)
and my friend Dee for teatime today.
(So, yes, I technically had three tea parties this week.)
Mel and Dee knew they were only getting leftovers sweets,
but they acted as though the humble offerings were fit for royalty.
I like the way the teacups have the floral inside.
As always, thank you for visiting!
