Red White and Blues

Here are a few of my favorite pics of past posts
RED, WHITE and BLUE!

Some years we go all out -
this year our eldest daughter is in Montreal
and our youngest just returned from vacation
so she needs to just catch up and work, work, work.

And my sister who lives near me
 (who has all the children I always blog about)
 is at her lake home with her family...
plus with my boot thing on I am not feeling like
doing hosting much of anything.

                             So we're just gonna "chillax" for a change.

We're attending an evening wedding tomorrow
~~~Friday July 3rd~~~
so that keeps us home bound this year.
And we've been really looking forward to it.
I've even shared some red white and blue
from my store with Blog Shop linky party on Wednesdays.
If you haven't yet seen the series called
 JOHN ADAMS
 you have really missed something special.
It is absolutely a must see
 for those with Patriotic appreciation
 for our beloved nation's beginnings.
It's not on Netflix but it is on Amazon Prime Instant Video
if you are a Prime member. Sorry to tease you.
I wish you all a very happy,
 safe holiday weekend.
But in the midst of your traditions and merry-making,
please take a moment to remember
OUR FOUNDING FATHERS
whose blood and courage,
 along with their un-failing and un-dimming
 love of freedom and
The Flag For Which It Stands.
Love it. Honor it. Always.
Proud folks bravely died
so that it would forever wave
for all the ages to come.
As always, thank you for your visit.
  1. Although these may be photos from previous years and this year will be more relaxed than others, I enjoy seeing all the red/white/blue! I love our flag and country and am a Proud Patriotic American who appreciates our history, the hard work of our forefathers and the dedication of lives given for our freedoms! God Bless America!! Have a wonderful 'chillaxed' Holiday weekend! Blessings, Cindy
  4. Great post, Michele. Enjoy your chillaxin' kind of weekend. We had one like that last year, and this year I'm hosting nearly 20. It's a lot of work, and I'm ambivalent about hosting, but it'll be nice to gather. Love your images and will need to check out the John Adams thing (while I still have Prime. Believe it or not, I was just telling my husband this week I was thinking of cancelling for underuse). :) God Bless America.
  7. Michele, what a beautiful post. I loved seeing all your red, white and blue. Yes we loved John Adams. It sounds like you are looking forward to a quiet weekend, after the wedding, as are we. I wonder if your husband would like the eggplant with the addition of the meat--it is like lasagna. But I know some people can't get past that eggplant veg! Have a good weekend.
  8. I love all of your red, white, and blue items. I have long wanted to set a pretty, patriotic table, but can't seem to come up with enough appropriately colored things to do so.
  9. Hi Michele, We won't be home this July 4th weekend so I haven't decorated at all. I hope you enjoy the holiday.
  10. We are going to check out that movie. I read the book (if it's the one by David McCullough).
    Hope you enjoy your weekend. Put your feet up, heal, and relax, dear friend.
  11. Michele, I'm enjoying my visits to all the patriotic posts honoring the red, white, and blue because my things are packed away for now. Thanks for sharing yours. Enjoy the 4th, even if it's a quiet one. ;-)
    1. Nice to meet you, Michele! So glad to see you joined my blog! :-D
      By the way, I made your red, white, and blue strawberries yesterday. What a good idea! Mine were...shall we say...drippier than the ones in your photo. But they were delicious!
      "If you could share a hot pot of tea with anyone living or dead - who would you choose?"
      Hmm...umm....ok. I would have to say the apostle Paul amd I would ask him to tell me about how he changed.
  15. Hi Michelle, Just beautiful and the best of blogland. Love your decor!! Your pics are very special. So sorry about the boot. I wore one too when I broke my ankle in 2006 right in the hottest part of the summer. I can sympathize with you. Hope it comes off soon. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy 4th of July.
    Blessings, cm
  17. Sorry about all those deletes above - not sure why, but blogger kept adding the same reply over and over, as though it "hiccupped" or something. So weird. Computers are just too weird.
  18. Beautiful photos, Michele! But...uh oh, what's this about a "boot thingy?" I had to wear one of those a few years ago when I broke my ankle! I hope you're ok. I saw John Adams when it was on television and absolutely loved it! Such good acting and they didn't "pretty things up" for it - it stays pretty true to the times. I love all your 4th of July decorations!
