Valentine's Day continued.....

I have a few more Valentine's Day things to share today. Here is a sweet little bird with painted hearts, nestled in a Valentine-feeling grouping that just makes me smile. Hope it does for you, too.

And nothing makes me happier than SWEETS during the Month of Love!

Here is a 3 tier of cookies I served at a party last year. The top tier were lavender flavored, the middle tier were lemon and the pink ones were sour cream sugar cookies The lone plate of cookies are almond flavored. The cake in the background is an old fashioned scratch Red Velvet Cake with Buttercream Frosting, chocolate shavings & raspberries on top. I have been making Red Velvet cakes for years using Paula Deen's recipe but with less red dye. (Sshhhh don't tell my fav Southern Belle!)

Here is a plate of raspberry jam heart print cookies, my DH's very favorite cookie of all time. This year I made them without the sugar glaze. The glaze makes them TASTE better but not LOOK better.

Here are some pretty dark red glass hearts in a bowl with antique Valentine's on a pretty vintage hankie with red hearts. Very sorry about the glare, this was an OCBB pic. (Old camera, before blogging.)

Here is the same bowl of hearts without the valentines tucked in - and a tad less glare.

Please join me for Seasonal Sundays over at The Tablescaper!
