Valentines = pink!

Here is a fun little girl's cotton gingham apron with a heart felt heart. I bought it for my niece who LOVES pink and LOVES baking with her Aunt Shell! She doesn't have a grandma so I try to fill in. I didn't have one either so I am winging it. We bake. We color. We make cards. We plant flowers. We read together. We have teas. And we have fun - hope I am doing an ok job. They grow so FAST!

Now here's something kinda fun in pink, too! I have an apron nearly like it in MINI size in my dollhouse. It is hanging on the back of the kitchen door!

One last pink item for today - a pretty rose n heart dish holding some REALLY good gourmet candies. And talk about PINK!!! I bought these at the Pink Moon Cupcake Bakery! Check them out if you have time, you will end up drooling all over your keyboard, I promise!

I am proud, pleased, shocked and surprised that I didn't FILL that plate with those yummy candies.....because I really wanted to! This was all I bought, I didn't eat most of them  THEN blog about them, Scout's Honour!

You know, come to think of it - I bellieve the candies above cost me more than the handmade card, thrifty heart plate and the estate sale antique teapot all together. That's weird, isn't it?

I have been blogging an entire month of Valentine's red and pink so far. It has been so much fun!

Happy Pink Saturday!  (Heading on over to join the linky fun!)

  3. It sounds like you are doing a wonderful job, Michele! That apron is adorable and I love the little one in your dollhouse. Do you have a post on your dollhouse? We brought the one my Dad made my daughter {in the 90's} when we moved, so that my granddaughter will have it. It does need a major update though! I'd love to see yours.

  7. Hi Michele,

    That is the sweetest apron (both of them), and I love that you're spending time doing special things with your niece, since she doesn't have a grandmother. I'm sure she'll always remember those times with you. I also love your heart plate and the antique teapot.

  14. Michele, sounds to me like you are doing a great job of substitute grandmother. Any child would be proud and so lucky to have you in their life. I wish that apron was my size because it is the cutest thing!! Pink is my favorite color. I don't trust myself where chocolate is involved, I have a weakness for the stuff! Have a great day!-------- Shannon
