Daughters' Easter Tablescape and feast

Some of you may remember in this post I shared that our daughters were going to co-host Easter dinner for us this year for the first time because I have been/am pretty sick for the last month, then DH caught it.

They did a fabulous job and made Easter very special for us all!

The lovely tablescape:

On the sideboard in back of room are two gorgeous Easter Lilies (gift to my daughters from son in law) and gorgeous bright yellow daffoldils (hostess gift from their Aunt) in the middle. Unfortunately I cut them off and didn't take another from this view. What a shame - sure did brighten up the room in gorgeous scented floral awesomeness!

My eldest sets a lovely table and always has everything "simply elegant." She is very crafty, as you can tell by her clever wooden blackboard nameplace eggs! I love her Gerbera daisies and pink mums in a few of her blue vintage Ball canning jars.

My youngest is an absolute WHIZ in the kitchen! Here is her menu, written on the large kitchen chalkboard wall near the refrigerator. I think that is a neat idea. I want a chalkboard wall too!

Here is the amazing feast spread - all placed on an old vintage linen tablecloth and shows my eldest's love of vintage kitchen bowls. Even the salad is beautifully made up! See the Mimosas in this pic too? They handed everyone one when we walked in. There is a fresh strawberry floating in each glass.

And her amazing strawberry cream cheese fluff pie - it is TO DIE FOR! If she shares the recipe maybe I will share it soon with Blogland.

After dessert we played a really fun game called Fact or Crap (haha) and laughed away some wonderful family hours..........................

This was an amazing day hosted by amazing daughters, of whom we are very proud.

Thanks, girls. You made your Momma very happy.

  1. They are clearly very caring and loving girls to show you such a wonderful time. And having good cooks in the family is a blessing. It looks like a lovely spread and the table is so bright and pretty. You may have chopped off their heads but I get the idea with the flowers. The colours are fantastic.

  5. Michele, I hope you are feeling much better now. Being sick is no fun and especially as long as you've been feeling poorly. You must have taught your daughters well because that is one delicious looking meal. Makes me hungry looking at it. That was a sweet thing to do for you. It's obvious they love you very much. Take care.----- Shannon

  17. I sure hope you are feeling better by now. Your Easter sounds wonderful. It's great when family can spend the holidays together. Since we've moved back closer to our children we get to see them much more often than when we lived over half way across the states. The meal looked delicious. It was presented so beautifully.
